Every now and then we do something that someone takes pictures of. When that happens we'll post at least a few of the photos here. Click on the album title in the list below to open a page that will have an index of all the photos in that album. You can click on the first thumbnail in the album and work your way through the whole thing, or start with any individual photo. Above each photo are navigation arrows to move forward or back, and a link back to the Index page. The index page will have a link back to this page.

On January 10, 2010 Susan Robinson of Waste Management gave a very interesting presentation to our group. You can see some of the slides here. There's some data about the relative benefits of recycling different products, the effects on Greenhouse gas emissions, Waste Management's recycling facilities and more. As well as how Burien is doing on recycling.

On February 14, 2010 Marisha Auerbach of HerbnWisdom gave a presentation about Permaculture to our Sustainable Burien gathering. Marisha has been involved in Permaculture for years, and has taught and/or participated in Permaculture events all over the world. On February 22 she's headed to Haiti to work with local farmers to improve Sustainability of local food networks. She was kind enough to allow us to post the slides from her presentation here. You can look through the series of 41 slides.
